Following on from our previous post about racism Indigenous people face in the health-care sector, Cultural Safety Training is one of the best ways to minimise your own prejudices, and advocate for better health settings.

What is Cultural Safety Training?

  • Cultural safety is about providing quality service that fits within the cultural values and norms of the person accessing the service, that may differ from your own and/or the dominant culture
  • Cultural safety training provides practical tips and skills that can be utilised to improve practice and behaviour, which assist in making Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel safe.

If you have already received this survey from RWAV and completed it that there is no need to repeat this now.
