Victorian Rural Internship Information Evening

πŸ’­ Are you considering a rural internship in 2022? 🌾

WILDFIRE, Outlook, NOMAD and ROUNDS hosted the Victorian Rural Internship Information Evening held on Tuesday 20 April 2021. The event was sponsored by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).


The event included a presentations from the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) on the new Victorian Rural Preferential Allocation (VRPA) by Julie Faoro. Shane Boyer and Angela Stratton presented on the Victorian Rural Generalist Program (VRGP).

Junior doctors from a range of rural internship programs shared their experiences firsthand and answered questions. Including:

– Goulburn Valley Health – Dr Srikar Boddupalli
– Ballarat Health – Dr Emma Widdicombe
– Murray to Mountains – Dr Monique Bihari


Dr Elise Ly provided an inspirational talk about her life in South Gippsland as a rural generalist on behalf of our sponsor, ACRRM.
